Coconut shell vase

Well not exactly a coconut shell vase. Though I have seen those too...beautiful ones. This vase was done by my aunt Farzana for my mother. She broke down coconut shells into little pieces, sanded them down and glued them on to a terracotta vase (not a vase actually, one of those smash and open terracotta money pots that she converted into a vase by creating an opening at the top).  She then applied a coat of varnish and voila! a pretty vase is ready. Dont you just love how my mother has used the vase to hold traditional coconut shell ladles?
